In the Day variant the chat sits on #FBF3EC (cream). Outgoing bubbles are #F3D9C4, and links and highlights use #C8332B (red). Message text reads at 15.0:1 against that background, past the WCAG AAA threshold for body text. Night moves the same palette onto #241413. An AMOLED variant takes the background to #000000, so the panel draws no power at all behind the chat.
